Leading Application Delivery Platform Announces Speaker Lineup for its Fifth Annual User Conference

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–NGINX, Inc., the company based on the popular open source project and offering a suite of technologies designed to develop and deliver modern applications, today announced the agenda for its fifth annual NGINX Conf user conference. Held from October 8-11 at The Loews Hotel in Atlanta, GA, attendees at this year’s event will hear from experts at industry-leading organizations including Audi, CapitalOne, AppNexus, Charter, and Dropbox. They will offer insights on best practices, emerging technologies, and community engagement tips to help practitioners succeed on their journey from monoliths to microservices.

Coming together to discuss the “Journey to Microservices,” attendees will learn about the technologies necessary to help enterprises modernize their application infrastructure. Attendees will learn about NGINX technologies and see customers present on how they improved customer experience, increase agility, or cut costs using the NGINX Application Platform.

Featured presenters during the conference include:

  • Lakshmi Sharma, Head of Product Management, Networking, Google Cloud
  • Rohit Joshi, Director of Software Engineering, Capital One
  • Josh Ryder, Sr. Director Network and Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations, AppNexus
  • Jaime Panagos, Senior Director, Video Operations, Charter Communications
  • Isa Vilacides, Quality and Productivity Engineering Director, CloudBees
  • Oleg Guba, SRE, Traffic-team, Dropbox

NGINX speakers include: Gus Robertson, CEO, NGINX, Inc. and Sidney Rabsatt, Vice President of Product Management, NGINX, Inc.

Additional presentations include strategic sessions, case studies, and hands-on trainings for a variety of skill levels across the application development and delivery landscape. With two full days of trainings available, attendees can select the sessions that fit their needs and can attend workshops and demos that will enhance their NGINX skills.

Breakout sessions will include informative presentations from industry leading organizations, including:

  • Comcast on DevOps adoption and delivering high-growth service
  • Verizon on service mesh for microservices 2.0
  • Priceline.com on increasing developer throughput with unlimited user testing environments
  • Audi on using NGINX Plus as a web application firewall and API gateway for microservices

“Most enterprises find their technology strategy is now their business strategy. They must provide compelling digital services to attract and retain customers. Enterprises are looking to microservices to develop the applications that underpin these services. But most struggle to find the right balance of development and delivery across a mix of legacy, monolithic applications and newer, open-sourced based microservices environments,” said Rob Whiteley, CMO of NGINX, Inc. “At NGINX Conf 2018, all sessions are geared toward helping attendees identify where they are — and more importantly where they should be — along each step of this journey and how NGINX’s technology help achieve success.”
